The Bluebird Motel

This was my fourth stay, and it’s still my favorite little roadside motel. The rooms are spacious and cozy, with coffee, a fridge, and a microwave. Even in winter, my room stays warm. The staff are genuinely wonderful. Snow was possible, so they had stocked my room with extras in case I got snowed in. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in northern Maine!

It’s a quiet, peaceful little motel just off the road, and traffic wasn’t a problem. The grocery and convenience stores are within walking distance, and it’s a handy place to stay if you’re visiting Canada for the day. The rooms are clean, spacious, and have hardwood floors and an in-room coffee maker. It’s a great place to get a good night’s rest at a good price. Breakfast isn’t served here, but Tom’s Family Restaurant is an easy walk away. I recommend the “Farmers Breakfast.” 10/10, I’d stay again.

I’ve been coming here for years. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. It’s a good base for exploring the area. There was a fire on Christmas Eve 2024, and they’re still rebuilding. Even with that setback, the quality and care for customers are the same. I highly recommend staying here and supporting the owners while they rebuild.
