We had a good stay in a Guest Room in mid-September. Maybe it was quieter then than usual, but this was the most affordable place we found on the island. Getting there on foot is a bit of a trek, around 2 miles and 45 minutes, or 55 minutes if you follow the water. Our condo came with coffee, shampoo and conditioner, makeup remover wipes, and an iron. It wasn’t lake view, but we liked sitting out on the little porch at night. I know the setup may vary from one condo to another.

Whoever set up these beds missed that this kind of frame needs a bunkie board underneath for support. There was no real support, and the beds were horribly uncomfortable.

The place is Donatello, a bit away from the beaten path, and that suited us really well. Our luggage got to and from the ferry without any trouble, and the full-time residents were a joy to chat with. We were pleasantly surprised by the room. It was clean, nicely updated, and really pleasant. We’d stay there again, 10/10.

I keep coming back here when I visit the Island. It’s quiet and peaceful, and the rooms are clean. Check-in and check-out are easy, and the staff are friendly. Downtown is about 1.5 miles away, which I like because the place feels somewhat secluded.

The view was stunning, and we found the service good. The balcony looks a little worn with age, and the luggage arrangements were somewhat confusing, but the lovely tile, soft sheets, and being close to The Backyard made the stay worthwhile. One night just wasn’t enough.
