Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront Mackinaw City

We had the quiet weekend getaway we planned, with a hot tub and -20 outside. Breakfast was good and meant we didn't have to go out, and our room was clean. They were remodeling the room across the hall, but it didn't bother us. I'd stay here again.

The room felt a little small for us, though it would be perfectly fine for most people. The location was perfect, the staff were incredibly nice, and it was such a great experience. I'll definitely stay again.

The room and pool were nice, the place was clean, and the staff were good. But both nights were full of nonstop noise. I didn't say anything after the first night because I didn't want to be that person. On the second night there was loud music and constant slamming of the sliding door. I complained three or four times, but nothing was done. They said they were booked and couldn't do anything. When I complained again as I was leaving, they couldn't offer a discount, refund, or anything. I was going to come back, but now I won't. Three other people complained when leaving too, and they couldn't get anything either.

The location made exploring easy: the ferry docks, shops, and restaurants were all a short walk away. After long sightseeing days, it was also nice to come back to somewhere quiet and peaceful. My wife and I came from Germany, and staying at the Hamilton Inn was one of the highlights of our trip. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the water. Waking up to the sunrise over Lake Huron was unforgettable. Breakfast was surprisingly good, with plenty of choices, and the atmosphere felt cozy and relaxing. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and happy to help with recommendations and questions. The Hamilton Inn exceeded our expectations, and we'd gladly stay again on our next visit. Highly recommended!
