The room was clean and fresh, and the location felt safe. Getting off the interstate was easy, and Cracker Barrel is within walking distance if that’s your preference. The hotel is nicely decorated, breakfast was good, and so was the coffee. The breakfast attendant was attentive and brought more when asked. A few things could use fixing: there was a quarter-sized rust spot in the tub, and the bathroom barn door didn’t close all the way. Neither would stop me from staying again.

The bright parking lot was nice until bedtime, when it kept the room from getting as dark as I’d have liked. It didn’t really matter once my eyes were closed, though. The room was clean and smelled nice. Breakfast was okay, and the coffee was hot and good.

I couldn’t relax because the sound carried so badly from the next room. I heard coughing, footsteps, and even bathroom sounds. The building also seems very old and poorly looked after, and that shows in its condition and basic comfort. This was one of my worst hotel stays, and I won’t come back or recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, comfortable place.

When we checked out, we told Porsha about how one desk employee had treated me and my coworker. She’d had an attitude and wasn’t nice to us, which made us feel she shouldn’t be working with customers. We needed to return the following week, and Porsha apologized and made sure the changes we’d requested for that stay were arranged. Thanks, Porsha, you’re the best. Great customer service.
