Budget Inn

The bed was hard as a rock, so we didn't get a good night's sleep. That pretty much defeated the point of stopping for the night. The room itself was clean, and the person who checked us in was very polite.

We had a neat, clean, quiet room, and the managers were easy to find whenever we had questions. Leonard and Xena were helpful, accommodating, and professional. Bring a dog biscuit for Xena! The place has a fun step-back-in-time feel, like Memory Lane from 20 or 40 years ago. You might even get a special treat and hear a train whistle. It's well placed for campus, shops, stores, and restaurants. If you're after a true five-star experience with chocolates on the pillow, a smooth parking lot, and valet service, you may want to drive 3-10 hours in another direction. For a few nights, though, Budget Inn is a great choice. We'll gladly return with biscuits and treats for our new friend, Xena!

Mr. Leonard was such a gentleman. He picked us up from the trail after our Appalachian Trail hike, and I really enjoyed meeting him. He's one of the nicest people you'll meet, and I can't recommend his hotel enough. His lovely dog Xena is living her best life too. We'll definitely come back.

The manager is so nice and always has a great attitude. He does everything himself, from check-in and cleaning rooms to maintenance, and his dog is the cutest and sweetest. It's an older motel, but the rooms are clean and nice. There was plenty of hot water, seriously hot, and the A/C was cold. We'll stay here again if we're back up here working.
