Suburban Studios Macon North

I came to town for my daughter's wedding, and this hotel was listed on their website. I'm a lifetime platinum rewards member with Marriott, but canceled my reservation because I wanted to stay around everyone else for the occasion. For the price, I have nothing to complain about, just praise. The staff were professional, concise, and helpful. One room had a wet carpet smell, and my son couldn't get the sofa bed in the other room to close. Apart from that, we came for a wedding and a good time, and that's what we had. It was a good stay.

I've been here over six months while waiting for my new home to be built after selling my last one earlier than expected. I love it here. Everyone's great and friendly, and it's quiet, clean, and affordable. Highly recommended!

The room was clean, but the floors were warped, the dresser was falling apart, and there was no remote or trash bins. The biggest issue was a man walking in at 10 a.m. while we were getting dressed to check out. I was in the bathroom wearing only a T-shirt and panties, so I felt exposed, though thankfully I wasn't completely undressed. My fiance was behind the door and shut it in his face. He didn't knock or say he was housekeeping, and checkout wasn't until 11 a.m. When we left, there weren't any housekeeping carts around, so we assumed it wasn't housekeeping. I've stayed in plenty of hotels at all price levels and worked in one, and this has never happened to me. Next time we'll pay the extra $30 to stay at the Marriot nextdoor.

We were there for several months and really made it our home. The prices are hard to beat for what you get. Our big room was perfect once it finally became available, and they accommodated us with it. It had a full kitchen with a stove and oven, a full-size fridge, and a huge sink. The dishwashers are hit or miss, but if you get a working one, it's great. The location is convenient, close to grocery stores, gas stations, shopping, and lots of restaurants. People complain about transients, but it's an extended stay hotel, with all kinds of people living there. It's wrong to look down on people for making a hotel their home. I've met wonderful people there, and we'll miss this place so much. The staff made our stay. Ms Carla is hands down the best hotel manager I've ever seen and goes above and beyond in every way imaginable. Ms Jennifer greeted my kids every day after school with a warm smile and friendly conversation. Asia and Tayquan made sure we had everything we needed, and were amazing too. We adored Tyson while he was there. Mr Carry and Adrian kept the place looking great and helped with anything I needed fixed. We will absolutely miss every one of them. Thank y'all for everything!
