Clay Brook At Sugarbush

The lifts are just 100 feet from the door, and the ski check outside meant we didn’t have to haul our gear around. We spent four nights at the ClayBrook for skiing, and it was about as good as it gets: comfortable room, lovely staff, and a warm, welcoming decor. The outdoor pool and hot tubs were great, too. We’ll be back this year, and hopefully for many more. Sugurbush ski school was incredible as well. Instructor Matt gave my 13 year old the best lesson ever.

I picked this place because of the kids’ ski school, and the drop-off is just steps from the hotel, with no reservation needed. The location is hard to beat and worked perfectly for our family. We had a small room issue, but management looked after us even better than we expected. I’d recommend the hotel, and we’d definitely return.

Being right at the mountain base made our stay at Clay Brook feel special, especially for a price you’d usually have to pay through the nose for. Our family of six had a really good time. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the heated outdoor pool and hot tubs were a nice extra. We’re already looking forward to another ski or snowboard trip to Clay Brook and Sugarbush.

We had a one-bedroom condo with a nice layout, kept immaculate. The kitchen was well equipped, the gas fireplace was lovely, and there was a balcony we barely used because of the season. The pool and hot tubs got plenty of use, and having robes and pool towels in the room was handy. We brought our dogs and loved that the resort really welcomes them. There are walking trails almost right outside, so Fido can enjoy the trip too. Getting the car unloaded and loaded was easy, and getting on and off the mountain each day was seamless. Every staff member we met was so friendly and helpful, including car valet, Cody, Elaina, the front desk, boot valet, ski valet, and people we passed in the halls. The only things I’d change: have the sofa bed made up when we arrive, and remove the DVD player from the amenities list. We were excited to watch our old DVDs, but there isn’t a player. No big deal, just worth updating.
