The Featherbed Inn & Nordic Spa

Snowshoeing straight out the back of the property onto the trails was wonderful, and the Inn provided the snowshoes. We stayed in a comfortable room in the main house and slept amazingly well. Karen and Mick, the owners, were so lovely and made us feel at home, and the breakfasts were thoughtful and delicious. We also enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back. Thanks, Karen and Mick!

The best part of our two-night getaway was how easy it was to relax. We soaked in the hot tub and sauna, then cooled off in the cold plunge. Mick and Karen have set up the Nordic treatments thoughtfully, and they really helped soothe our aches. Our room was spacious and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. The mini-split kept the temperature just right without making a sound. The inn itself feels warm and roomy, with a grand living area and fireplace, and the grounds are lovely for walking, hiking, or biking. Karen and Mick made us feel at home, and cooked two delicious breakfasts for me and Beth. We loved our time at the Featherbed Inn and hope to come back with my ski friends.

We loved settling in by the fire, whether outside or indoors, and having those wonderful breakfasts each morning. The hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge were a real treat, too. The Featherbed is a historic home that’s been beautifully cared for, set in the lovely Mad River Valley, which was fun to explore. Mick and Karen made us feel right at home. Such an enjoyable stay, highly recommend!

The open fire, afternoon mulled wine, and hot chocolate with homemade cookies made the cozy common spaces especially nice. After a day skiing, the Nordic spa was just right. I didn’t ski myself, but found plenty to do nearby. Karen and Mick were amazing hosts, and breakfast was out of this world. Just got back, and I’d absolutely recommend this heavenly getaway.
