The Warren Lodge

We stayed two nights for skiing at Sugarbush, and the location was great, just a five-minute drive to Lincoln Peak. Room 12 had a small efficiency with a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker, which made it easy to fix breakfast before heading to the slopes. The beds were comfortable, management communicated well, and there were nice restaurants a few miles away.

The room price felt fair for what we got, and there are good restaurants close by. I stayed two nights in room 14 for a ski getaway; having both a kitchen and a seating area was handy, and the location worked perfectly. Watch your step on the property when it's snowy or icy, though I suppose skiers are used to it. For breakfast and Vermont food or gifts, I really recommend the Warren Store.

We'd happily come back. Our first-floor apartment was spotless, with comfortable beds and futons and a kitchen that had everything we needed. The snow had been cleared well, and getting to the ski area was about as convenient as it gets. It was great value, too.

The rooms were warm and very clean, and the upkeep seemed solid. Check-in and checkout were contactless and easy, and Dana, the manager, was polite and attentive whenever we needed something. My buddy and I came last weekend for some early-season runs. The price had seemed almost too good to be true, so I wasn't expecting much, but I came away pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely stay again.
