One of my favorite stops during a week in Vermont. The owners keep to themselves, which gave us privacy and made it feel like a secluded cabin. They provide everything you need except food and clothes, and I liked their green approach, including the recycling bin. You can wander the property for great photos, and there's a beautiful creek down the path that's worth seeing. Our dog was welcome, which took a lot of stress out of finding a place that allows large dogs. There are lovely chickens and very friendly cats roaming around, so keep your dog leashed. The cabins could use some updating to deal with the musty smell and mice, but the many positives outweighed those two issues.

The setting at The Woods was beautiful and warm, and it made for an awesome event. Lisa and the staff did so much to make our work party a success and accommodated everything we needed. The food was incredible, from appetizers through the main dishes.

For our elopement-style wedding, my wife and I chose the Woods Lodge and were glad we did. We stayed in the Hemlock cabin and felt like we had the secluded property to ourselves. The owners cooked us two wonderful dinners and tailored things to our tastes. We didn't invite guests, since it was an elopement, but Lisa kindly took lots of photos of our special day. We also brought our little dog man because the lodge is dog-friendly. We could have gone to a local courthouse, but we're happy to have this special place to remember the date by.

We stayed in the Birch Cabin, with a very comfortable bed and lots of space. Woods Lodge has a huge dining facility on the property and a fully stocked bar. The hosts were so friendly and gracious, and went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. A relaxing retreat in Vermont's beautiful forest.

I'm at The Woods Lodge for the Residency Conference at Norwich University, and it's been very nice. My family and I have a suite in the main lodge with several bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a living area. Everything is clean and comfortable, the scenery is incredible, and the owners are friendly. The price is reasonable and the accommodations are lovely.
