SpringHill Suites by Marriott Madera

The room could use brighter lighting. There isn't a switch by the entrance, so it starts out dark, though the tall floor lamp helps. The comforter is also a bit crunchy and noisy. Still, the room was spacious, cozy, quiet, and sparkly clean. Service was good, breakfast was pretty good, and there's a convenient mart within walking distance. The location works well, and I'd recommend staying here.

The employees were great, and the hotel was very clean, with good service and a nice range of food and drinks in the lobby. I found the small thermostat a little confusing, though that's on me for not paying closer attention. Keep up the solid work.

The room was dirty, and the sofa bed was disgusting. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, maybe longer, and there wasn't enough space to pull the bed out properly. I also booked one bed by mistake when I needed two. The hotel said two-bed rooms were available but wouldn't change my reservation because I'd booked through a third party. The service felt terrible and unaccommodating. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for, and the savings aren't worth it. Go somewhere else. I won't stay here again.

This place is old and run-down. I'm glad I'm only in the area for two days, then I'm out. I'll post pictures later. They need to remodel it, and fast.
