Best Western Plus Lakeview Hotel

There’s no lake view, despite the name, but the rooms are nice. It’s easy to find as you come into town from the east on Hwy 34, right at the first major intersection.

Fine for a few nights, but breakfast is really basic. I’d go out for breakfast instead.

The only thing I missed was a water cooler on the property. Nearby gas stations help, but their water is costly. I couldn’t see a lake through all the snow, so I’m not sure there’s one to offer. There are lots of extras included, like breakfast, drinks from the bar, printer access, books in the lobby, and a vanity kit. The room signs say to call if you need anything, and I liked that the hotel sells pizza and sandwiches all day. That was especially useful since there are no GrubHub or Uber Eats services in the area. It’s in one of the best locations, and I highly recommend staying here.

My King size suite with kitchenette was roomy and comfortable, and the kitchenette had everything I needed to feel at home, including a dishwasher. Breakfast had a wide selection and was very good. There’s also a bar on site that serves pizza and sandwiches. The hotel is really nice, with great rooms and a friendly, helpful staff. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
