Econo Lodge

I was recovering from a recent car accident, which made what happened at checkout even harder. After staying at the Econo Lodge on Arlington, Madison, AL for about 30 days and paying roughly $1,800, I was told I could bring my belongings to the office and wait briefly for my ride. But once I walked there with all my things, I was told to leave them outside. I ended up sitting in the cold with everything I owned, though I only needed to wait about an hour and a half. I had asked for a little flexibility, like a short late checkout or a chance to wait indoors, and was even willing to pay for another day if needed. After a month there, I thought the situation could have been handled with more understanding. The only reason I stayed that long was that I was in the area after the accident. The lack of basic consideration and customer service was deeply disappointing. I don't recommend this hotel, since several others nearby treat guests with much more respect.

The room was clean and the bed was cozy, and I really have no complaints. For $70 a night, this place is stellar, especially if you need somewhere to stay after getting off a plane. Maybe I'm easy to please, but my stay was excellent. Kudos to the people who run it.

The breakfast area looked nasty, and guests aren't allowed to take breakfast back to their rooms. The rooms themselves are nice. The website says service animals stay free, but they still charged me.

The room service here is excellent, and the staff are helpful. I keep finding this Econo Lodge a great, affordable place to stay. It's conveniently close to the highway and to Huntsville's attractions and restaurants. Breakfast is really just a quick snack.
