Mansion Hill Inn

Our suite was gorgeous and spacious, spotlessly clean, and the gas fireplace was perfect in the frigid weather. Every staff member was kind, generous, helpful, and friendly, with an attention to detail that stood out. It was a dream of a stay, and we'll bring family and friends back to share the memories.

This feels like a home, not just a hotel. We booked five rooms, and everyone was amazed by the hospitality. I've never seen rooms this clean. They also handled my gluten, dairy, and fructose allergies perfectly at breakfast. In all the hundreds of hotels I've stayed at, this is the only one globally that's gotten every ingredient right. The location is great too, right at the edge of the city center, very quiet and still a short walk from the center and capitol square.

Room 8 at Mansion Hill Inn was a wow, with sunshine coming in through windows on three sides. The fireplace was an easy-to-use bonus, and the bathroom had a heated floor. Breakfast was fresh, with bakery items and yogurt, and the place is walkable to restaurants and shops. The person who checked me in carried my luggage upstairs and brought it back down with a smile. I'd stay again if I were back in Madison. One warning, the magnificent spiral staircase is steep and narrow, so book a first-floor room if you have mobility issues.

The Friday jazz was exceptional, and the cocktails at the bar with Arik came with great conversation. Adam handled check-in, Terran was fun to chat with, and Juan made checkout easy and pleasant. Everyone seemed happy to be there, and the service was top-notch throughout. This might be the only place we stay when we visit Madison.
