Coachman's Inn

I’ve stayed here several times on trips to town and used to find it decent and reasonably priced. Last night cost more and was a very different experience. The front desk person apologized, but the room hadn’t been cleaned: bugs were on the floor, there was dried urine on the toilet bowl, and the curtains and sheets were visibly dirty. The decor was very outdated, and the supposedly non-smoking room smelled terrible. I tried to cancel, but was told I couldn’t because I booked through booking. That was my last stay here.

It’s a short walk from the town square, and that location was probably the best part. I slept well, though having a local cop parked outside my room most of the night made me uneasy about the area. The room was clean but sparse, with old, worn furniture and beds that seemed close to being worn out. The price was quite a bit higher than other local budget places, and calling it an “Inn” was misleading.

Roaches everywhere. I saw 10 in the first 15 seconds after opening the door. The front desk agent seemed unaware, and the manager tried to deny me a refund. Don’t stay here.

The location was convenient, but this was probably the worst motel I’ve stayed in, even at $75. The room smelled strongly of weed, and there was mold on the ceiling. The sink was filthy, with the faucet covered in what looked like dried toothpaste. Goldfish crackers were in the trash bag and scattered around the room, which clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. The floors were dusty and sticky, and hadn’t been mopped. The tiny pillows had pillowcases that didn’t look clean, and the tiny towels neither looked nor smelled clean. The shower was gross too. The door wouldn’t lock unless I slammed it, and even then it felt like a strong push could open it. The secondary lock didn’t work at all.
