We came for a reunion, which was excellent, and the food at the event was pretty good. The rest of the stay was disappointing. After going out for the day, we returned to find our room hadn't been cleaned. The desk said the staff had gone home, so it wouldn't be done that day. I had to get towels at the desk and carry them upstairs myself. I don't mind carrying towels, but the room should have been cleaned. We wanted to meet classmates for breakfast the next morning, but arrived a few minutes late and were told the chef had already gone home. It was less than ten minutes past 9:30, so we went out to eat. Earlier, I'd been told breakfast was included, then found out it wasn't. The afternoon before, I went to the restaurant to meet classmates and get a dinner table. At least eight tables had Reserved signs and stayed empty the whole time, but they still wouldn't seat us. We had to go to a diner, and the hostess was curt and very rude. Check-in itself was easy.

The clean room was the one thing I appreciated. For what they charge, the lack of repairs and upgrades is really disappointing. We arrived late and had to switch rooms because the first one was set to 60 degrees and the unit under the window didn't work, so we couldn't warm it up. The heater worked in the second room, but the TV didn't work at all. Nothing was catastrophic, just shabby, and shabby plus expensive doesn't make me happy. We won't be back, and this reflects poorly on the brand.

I had a major booking mistake through Expedia, which I hate, and Mona and Alex helped sort it out quickly. Mona even used her own cell phone to call other locations for me. They both went above and beyond, which is hard to find these days. I'll definitely tell everyone I know to stay at the double tree in Mahwah. Great employees!

Our guests had so many kind things to say about how elegant and well run our Indian wedding reception was. The ballroom at Hilton DoubleTree Mahwah was spacious and beautiful, just right for dancing and celebrating with all our family and friends. From the custom decor to coordinating with our caterers, the team made everything smooth and stress free. A huge thank you to Dina, who made our special day unforgettable. Planning an Indian wedding reception involves lots of details and cultural nuances, and she handled every request gracefully and efficiently. Her flexibility and can-do attitude stood out, and she made room for all our ideas, big or small. From start to finish, the experience was amazing, and we're still on cloud nine. Hilton DoubleTree Mahwah really delivered on service, flexibility, and professionalism. Dina and the whole staff helped turn our vision into reality, and we're forever grateful. I'd highly recommend this venue for weddings and receptions, especially South Asian celebrations.

Everyone at the convention was complaining about the cold. It was beyond freezing, and I think the AC was running while people kept opening doors. The bathrooms ran out of toilet paper, soap, and paper towels too. I wouldn't go back.
