Malibu Beach Inn

The food deserves its own shoutout, it’s better than most restaurants in Malibu. The rooms are beautiful and there are amenities everywhere. Staff, from the front desk to the food runners, were so helpful and accommodating. This was some of the best service I’ve ever had. We’ll be back, I’d give the stay 10 stars if I could.

The complimentary night the hotel offered after our first visit was a generous gesture, so we were looking forward to a better stay. Instead, our room still wasn’t ready at check-in, and we waited around in the valet area while they sorted it out. On that first visit, the room hadn’t been turned over at all: belongings from the previous guests were still there, and the sheets and towels hadn’t been changed. Absolutely disgusting. The ocean view is the one thing this place has going for it. Cleanliness is mediocre, and the cafe left dirty tables sitting for hours while the waiters didn’t seem bothered to clear them. The food was awful. Service and management were unaccommodating, and there’s very little in the way of amenities. For the price, the hotel doesn’t offer much. It’s not worth it. Maybe the location keeps it full and they don’t care about repeat guests. We travel often and have stayed at hotels across a range of prices; this one was far below an acceptable standard. Very disappointing.

We keep coming back to the Malibu Beach Inn because a visit leaves us feeling rested and refreshed. Sitting on the balcony listening to the waves, or simply enjoying the quiet atmosphere around the property, makes it easy to unwind. From the moment we arrived, the ocean views were breathtaking and instantly calming. The service is warm, attentive, and thoughtful in every detail. Special thanks to Kenny, Jesse, Daniel, Rafael, and Anthony for their kindness and professionalism. Their genuine care is a big reason each stay feels so memorable. We can’t wait to return.

We had a great time celebrating my sister’s birthday. Everyone at the hotel was kind and accommodating. We also tried beach yoga, and Taye was a wonderful instructor. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious.
