Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Great Valley/Malvern

The room felt smaller than I expected with a king bed and pullout sofa. Lighting wasn't great, with lots of little lights scattered around. The coffee maker looked like it had only been wiped with paper towels and never properly washed, so I didn't use it.

I've been here a few times and haven't had a bad stay. The rooms are clean and roomy enough, and the internet handles streaming fine. Service has always been excellent. Starbucks and Chick-fil-A are just a minute's walk away.

I called earlier this month to ask about rates for family visiting someone getting cancer treatment nearby. Whoever answered gave terrible service and cut me off several times when I asked about things to do in the area and whether the neighborhood was safe. After that call and reading the newest reviews, I'd choose a nearby cheap motel and save the money rather than risk rude service and poor rooms here.

The front desk woman's wonderful spirit felt like a gift from heaven. She goes out of her way to make the Marriott experience delightful.
