Holiday Inn Express Frazer - Malvern by IHG

I felt very well looked after here and would happily return. The staff were attentive, professional, and quick to help whenever I needed something, often going above and beyond to make me comfortable. My bedroom was comfortable and well equipped, and the stay was truly wonderful. It exceeded my expectations.

It’s a lovely place, so I’m surprised the average rating is lower. I stayed before the renovation, when they were still planning it, and liked the room, food, and atmosphere. There’s an Indian restaurant nearby, as well as stores like Total and one more. I spotted a few animals along the way, too. Just a lovely place and a good hotel.

They charged me $480 after telling me the price was $360. Then I booked another night, they said the payment was declined, and they wouldn’t let me stay. Their corporate office said that wasn’t true and that my bank had promised to pay, but the hotel charged me for a day I wasn’t allowed to stay. They’re refusing to refund the money. If you want terrible customer service, a double charge, and no return of what you’re owed, this is the place.

I stayed one night. The room smelled of mildew, though I didn’t see mold in the room itself. There was some around the shower corners, but the rest of the shower was “clean.” I used the Dove lotions and appreciated them since I’d forgotten to pack lotion. There’s a rumor the hotel has a contract with homeless shelters to let people stay. I think that’s nice, but guests should know about it if it’s true.
