The bed was comfortable, and having a TV in both the bedroom and living area was a nice bonus. Our first-floor king suite had a handy kitchenette and full-size fridge, so it worked well for a stay of several days or longer. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly, and renovations didn’t cause us much trouble. A few things need attention. The kitchen sink had no water despite the valve being open, the stovetop was cracked and one burner looked unusable, and the living-room TV didn’t show all channels or work fully. The kitchenette had dishes, silverware, a small coffee maker, microwave, and dishwasher, but just one pan, so bring cookware if you plan to cook. We could also hear loud water draining through the shower whenever a nearby toilet was flushed, especially at night. I’d stay again, particularly after the renovations are finished.

The kitchenette in my room was well equipped, and when I reported that both outlets beside the bed were dead, staff fixed them the next day while I was out. Until then, I used the outlet at the desk. I do wish the bathroom had an exhaust fan or vent. At check-in I was directed to the elevator behind me, which opened onto a second floor full of renovation supplies and rooms being repaired. No staff were there, and the receptionist didn’t know that floor was under work, so I had to go back down and use the other elevator. Staff should know where guests are being sent. One sustainability suggestion: recycling bins don’t need plastic liners since the contents are dry. Breakfast is offered from 6:30 to 9:30, though I didn’t get to try it.

The room was filthy and the hotel felt run down. Stained carpets and curtains, ripped furniture, and a strange smell from the pool were bad enough, but my daughter got a rash after swimming there. We booked a two-bedroom “suite” for her 13th birthday with three friends, hoping for a fun night. My wife brought the problems to the front desk. The woman there just shrugged and said they were renovating, even though guests are still being charged to stay. No refund or alternative accommodation was offered. A Motel 6 might have been a better choice. This was a disgrace, and something should be done to make it right.

The staff are amazing and always ready to help make you comfortable. I’ve stayed here for a week on three separate occasions since 2023. I’d give it five stars or more if they improved the breakfast.
