Aspen Creek Condominiums

We booked this luxurious condominium through AirBnB. The setting is scenic, with beautiful backdrops, and it's very close to Mammoth lakes. Each condo has a spacious living room and bedrooms, plus residents can use the jacuzzi. There are dedicated covered parking spots too.

It was a little warm in mid-July, and the fridge made a lot of noise, but neither was too bad. The moose decor was everywhere, giving the room a strange Christmas-in-July feel. Check-in and checkout went smoothly, and the staff were friendly and accommodating when we called. It was a bit expensive, though we booked late and didn't have many options.

It's a pretty standard ski lodge, but there are great views nearby.

We knew the reviews mentioned bad Wi-Fi at Aspen Creek 101 Great Escape in Mammoth Lakes, but booked anyway, which was stupid of us. For more than $400 for two nights, we expected the Wi-Fi to work. It didn't. The carpet was also really dirty, with lots of black, worn areas, and there was no reception or staff on site. We found the staff very unfriendly and arrogant. We noticed the Wi-Fi was out and the carpet was filthy as soon as we arrived. We tried all afternoon and evening to reach 101 Great Escapes, leaving messages and texting and calling the maintenance manager, but got no response. At checkout, we brought up the problems and were treated very rudely. They even said the Wi-Fi not working wasn't their problem, comparing it to an oven that wasn't working and saying they couldn't help. Seriously? We'd strongly suggest staying somewhere else in Mammoth Lakes.
