The AirBnB photos looked okay, but our unit was badly dated and had cheap, worn-out furniture. The appliances were heavily abused, the outdoor pool was filthy, and the recreation building needs to be torn down and rebuilt. The pool table was ripped, and the laundry room smelled. Upstairs, the game room was filthy, dusty, and had leftover beer and soda cans, a broken ping pong table, and lights that didn’t work. One exit door handle had been wired shut, and electrical wires were exposed in two places. I emailed the host about it and basically got a too-bad response. The Mammoth Lakes Fire Department never replied to my email either. AirBnB offered me a $200 refund, which I accepted, then the host left me a nasty review and AirBnB wouldn’t remove it. Please stay away. Never again with this place or AirBnB.

The rec room has a sauna, jacuzzi, billiards, cable TV, and BBQ. It got busy now and then, but people were courteous. The place is well maintained and so close to Canyon Lodge that walking to Chair 7 took less than five minutes.

You can’t beat the location, just a one-minute walk to Canyon Lodge station. The units are privately owned, so some have been updated while others are showing their age.

The photos were really misleading. The rental looked good in them, but the furniture was beat-up junk. We booked a week and lost the rental money because they wouldn’t refund us, so we went back to Bishop to find a decent place. Based on the furniture and the rental agency’s attitude, I would NOT recommend it. I guess I have to give one star to post this?

There are two doors to get into this cozy little place, and it’s really close to the slopes. Our unit had three rooms: two with queen beds and one with two double bunk beds, plus a pull-out couch in the living room. We filled it to capacity with 10 people. The kitchen is small, but otherwise it’s nice.
