Juniper Springs Resort

The location is a big plus: the ski lift is right outside, and a shuttle stop within 100 feet takes you to The Village for shops and food, or lets you transfer toward the Main Lodge or Woolly's Adventure Summit. The front desk team was helpful with my questions, and the rooms were clean, though old, with threadbare chairs. For the price, I expected more. The place badly needs updating, and calling it a resort suggests a level of service it just doesn’t offer. There’s no restaurant, bar, lounge, or room service. The small lobby store stayed dark and never opened all weekend; there was only a drink vending machine by the ice machine. Nothing was done to make guests feel welcome, even a couple of complimentary water bottles would have been a nice touch in the dry winter weather. There’s no bell service, though you can borrow a luggage cart, and parking is self-service.

Mario and Lottie made our stay especially enjoyable. They were kind, professional, and always ready to help. The resort itself was peaceful, with beautiful surroundings and great views. Everything felt clean and comfortable, just right for a relaxing family trip. We had a wonderful time at Juniper Springs Resort in Mammoth Lakes and would happily return.

The pool is beautiful, and the resort has a cozy chalet feel. Our room was bright, clean, and spacious, and the rate was pretty affordable. I arrived in a bit of a panic after my last-minute hotel replacement turned out not to be as advertised, but Gil was so accommodating and helpful. He’s fantastic, and I’ll be back!

They don’t have AC for warmer nights, like many places around here, but they do provide fans. I’d made a mistake with our booking, and their customer service was a breath of fresh air. They went above and beyond to help us out.
