We picked the hotel through Chase "edit" program’s recommended properties. Limelight in Mammoth was about seven months old when we stayed, and it was clean with enough sound insulation that the lobby noise didn’t carry. The breakfast included chicken sausages that fit our kosher/halal food choices. My kids liked playing Switch 2 in the lobby, though they wanted more games. The gym had peloton machines, electronic mirrors, kettle bells, and lifting racks. We also took the free "Audi" test drive, borrowing the Q6 EV for a 25-minute drive to the nearby twin lakes area, with a two-hour limit. The hotel assigned us a pet-free floor. I appreciated the in-room humidifiers and the water bottle filters on each floor. Aspen One hospitality corp is known for its social justice ethos. I’d like to see the gift shop stocked with more hotel basics and local craft products, and for in-room billing to be allowed. I also wish we’d booked two nights and timed our visit better. Devil's postpile and the gondola were closed, and being there off-season meant we didn’t get to explore much. A garage area for getting the car ready, with an air compressor and a covered spot to put on snow chains, would make winter departures safer. The valets were helpful and knowledgeable. The showers could use a better touch-up, but I thought it was good value and would stay again.

The breakfast buffet was better than average, with hot dishes, fruit, pastries, smoothies, and espresso drinks. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, with thoughtful details, easy-to-use lights, and a nice bathroom. This was my first stay, and a welcome change from the Westin. Dinner still needs some work. We tried a Caesar salad, burger, and pizza, and none were very good. I hope to stay here again on my next visit.

The view from the balcony stretched all the way to the lakes, and I could have sat there with coffee taking photos all day. The guestrooms were stylish and had plenty of storage. I also liked the touches around the hotel, including sparkling water hydration stations on every floor, a humidifier in the room, and espresso available all day. The soft water was nice, though the shampoo and hair dryer didn’t feel as luxurious as the Smeg fridge. Since most people drive here, bringing your own is easy enough. Limelight Mammoth feels like a cozy alpine escape with Southern California energy. Mammoth is ski heaven for SoCal, and arriving late in the season made the hotel just as much a part of my trip as the snow. It’s brand new and, to me, the best hotel in Mammoth right now for an elevated stay that makes things effortless. The lobby has a California “living room” feel, with an indoor-outdoor bar, a kid’s game room, and a restaurant with live singing all connected. There’s friendly service, good food and drinks, ski valet, a sun-soaked pool, and two jacuzzis. The high-profile location and upbeat atmosphere make it feel like it could be a great party pool. I’d choose this hotel again next season.

The pool and hot tub area had a lovely mountain view, with plenty of chairs and room to spread out. We could walk to lots of restaurants and bars, and the gondola was just steps away. The hotel also has a secure space for skis and snowboards. Our modern, spacious room included a little breakfast nook, fridge, and microwave. Breakfast was free and high quality. We had dinner there once and thought it was alright. My only real complaint was the uncomfortable pillows. I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel is new, nicely designed, and the rooms were clean. The location is good. But after eating dinner here, I got food poisoning and couldn’t ski at all during my trip. The mattresses also weren’t what I expected for the nightly cost. I’d expect to pay for a massage or chiropractor after sleeping on them. I won’t stay here again.
