The room and bathroom were filthy and very old and unkept. I found dental floss on the bathroom floor, the toilet bowl hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests, and the rugs hadn't even been vacuumed between stays. The owner seems to live in a separate wing of the same building, and from the B&B area you can see his living room. He clearly knows how to keep a home clean and modernize it, as his own home shows, but chooses to act like a slumlord to guests.

It's cozy and tucked away, yet close to everything. We could walk wherever we wanted, which was great, and Frank was extremely friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay again. Just so people know, it's a bed without breakfast, but the village center is a short walk away and has plenty of breakfast options.

Mr. Sutton was very friendly and helpful, and the place seemed well organized and thoughtfully run. It's right in the heart of Manchester, close to distinctive historic pubs and places to eat. We had a quiet, clean, comfortable night, and the place has a bed-and-breakfast feel. We were the only guests besides the person who lives there, so I can't say what it's like when fully booked. It looked possible that guests might have to share a bathroom.

Frank was incredibly helpful. He picked us up from the trail late at night, showed us around town, and gave us excellent food recommendations. The place was beautiful and clean. Softer towels would've been nice, but otherwise it was lovely.

We had a really good one-night stay in this nice home. The owner was friendly and gave us good ideas for places to visit. All of his recommendations were great. The price won't hurt your wallet, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. A morning walk around the home is really refreshing.
