The Manchester View

The room, the view, and the quiet made the stay for us. We had the Green Mountain room, with a fireplace and a jet powered tub for two. The decor suited a Vermont getaway, even down to the fun light fixture with little flying pigs. The huge shower and other amenities gave it a spa feel, while the room still felt homey and down to earth. Office staff were courteous and efficient. I skipped the free breakfast. Fresh baked goods have to be ordered ahead with a pickup time, which felt a little fussy for us, but it didn’t take away from the stay.

The rooms were quiet and super clean, each with its own entrance and beautiful mountain views. Breakfast is free, and well-behaved dogs are allowed with permission before arrival. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We stayed in July in a two bedroom suite, and it wasn’t worth the money. The room needs updating and smelled musty, like mildew. Half the bathroom light didn’t work, and breakfast was the same four or five items wrapped on a tray each day.

Breakfast was well organized for eating in or taking out, with lots to choose from: yogurt, several cereals, fresh fruit, muffins, juice, and breads to order. I spent several comfortable nights in the Robert Frost room, with the fireplace there to warm things up on cool nights.
