We were comfortable throughout our two nights at Sundance Bear Lodge while visiting Mesa Verde. Bob greeted us when we arrived late the first night and made sure we felt at home. Since we hadn’t eaten dinner, there was a snack bar available. Breakfast was included and delicious, and we could use the hot tub on the front porch whenever we wanted. We’d stay again while traveling through and recommend it to others.

The private cabin at Sundance Bear Lodge was a wonderful place to come back to after long days in Durango and our day on the Silverton Railroad, which we also recommend. Rustic but warm, clean, comfortable, and very peaceful, with a beautiful view of snow-capped mountains from the back porch. We stayed May 19th through the 21st. Bob and Sue were delightful and did everything they could to make us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious, and they sat at the table with us and the other guests. My husband and I stay at lots of bed and breakfasts, and the proprietors often don’t join the guests. We love it when they do, especially when they’re as warm and engaging as Bob and Sue. If you’re passing through this part of Colorado, stay at Sundance Bear Lodge. The accommodations, breakfasts, and company are all lovely.

The setting around Sundance Bear Lodge is beautiful, like a postcard, and the rooms are beautifully appointed. It’s close to the 4 Corners Region, Mesa Verde National Park, and Durango. Even without visiting the attractions, a trip here to relax and unwind is worthwhile. I held my wedding there, and the Scotts were very accommodating. My guests stayed at the lodge after the event and were all thrilled. You get a lot for your lodging dollar and a chance to relax in lovely desert southwest surroundings.

We had a wonderful stay at Sundance Bear Lodge last week. Bob and Sue were warm and welcoming, shared helpful information about the area, and let us spend time with their lovely pets. The lodge was very clean, the wifi was fast, and breakfast was fabulous.

Sue and Bob were fantastic hosts, and their house is gorgeous. We had a lovely stay and a fantastic breakfast. Overnight, snow fell, and in the morning there was a full moon setting over the snow-covered fields. Everything was comfortable and perfect. Thank you!
