Candlewood Suites Manhattan

Hope from sales and Sean, the GM, worked closely with us to make sure our needs were taken care of. Both were pleasant and extremely helpful. Our 100-day project stay went really well, and the Candlewood Suites team was fantastic. The property was centrally located for dining, commuting to and from the project, and recreation. I highly recommend it, especially if you need an extended stay in the area.

The walls are so thin that I could hear everything: loud TV from an inconsiderate guest, doors closing, people walking upstairs, and cars outside. If you want peace and quiet, don't stay here. Cleanliness was worse than at some cheaper motels. For the price, I expect a higher standard. This was the worst experience I've had at this hotel, and I won't return. I'll also tell my company never to book here again.

The front desk staff were consistently polite and accommodating during my one-night stay. The rooms are big and clean enough, though a bit worn. Still, I wouldn't come back. I've had better luck with Holiday Inn Express. The first room's fridge ice maker wouldn't work. In the next room, the cable worked and then cut out, so I moved a third time. The cable worked in that room, but its fridge still wouldn't make ice. There was an ice machine on the first floor in the shopping room, at least. The third room's shower curtain had lots of holes, as if it were rotting.

We were in town for an event with our son and five dogs, so we booked one of the king suites. The room was pretty good and had everything we needed. It ran a little warm on the fourth floor, though it wasn't uncomfortable. The door's self-closing hinge abruptly broke off. Maintenance wasn't back until Monday, which was a little unsettling, even though the door still worked fine.
