Our room faced the indoor pool, which was really nice for our two boys, but the humidity in the room stayed high even with the AC running. The beds were very comfortable. Aside from that room temperature issue, we had a great stay and would definitely come back.

The pool is right in the middle of the main lobby area, and with the hotel doors facing it, the noise echoed through the place. There was screaming and splashing until almost midnight. I get that kids are having fun, but the volume was excessive. The building is old, though the hotel has updated it pretty well, and the bed was comfortable. The rooms and even the bathrooms are quite dark, with lamps but no big overhead light, which is annoying if you don’t see well. Shower pressure could have been better, though you can find that anywhere. Food at the bar and breakfast the next morning was good, but breakfast costs extra and is pricey. No continental breakfast or make-your-own waffles.

The room was comfortable and I loved the atmosphere, so the stay was pleasant. The reception lady at the desk was really helpful and nice, and I wish I’d caught her name. I was bummed that lobby coffee wasn’t free. The indoor pool looked nice, but the water was very cold, and I was especially disappointed the hot tub is gone since I used to love it. Still, I had a good stay.

We held my daughter’s winter birthday pool party here, and everyone had a blast. Manhattan doesn’t have many small event spaces, so this was a perfect option. Lily and Joy made planning easy, and the pizza and lemonade I ordered came out right on time. Everyone loved the pizza. I can’t wait to tell MHK how you made her seventh winter party rock, and I look forward to working with you all again. The staff really made it work, from the tables to Chery (spelling) making sure we had everything we needed and more. Ashley came down from the bar several times to check on me and the guests, and Austin was great with the quest as well. Robert made check-in easy and made sure the room was clean early. The staff KILLED IT.
