We were in town for a hockey trip, and the way the front desk handled the kids made the stay miserable. One child was just walking down the hall to get a fork for a snack when the desk woman scolded them for leaving their room. Later, while we were in the lobby, she walked around the hotel, called one of our rooms, and said there were too many kids there and it was their last warning. Parents were in the room with five or six kids watching TV and talking. She didn't call the other rooms, apparently because a group of dads was sitting in the lobby, so the complaint seemed to be aimed at our room. The staff should work somewhere that doesn't require customer service. If you want a welcoming place to stay, try another hotel in town.

The staff were so friendly, and the clean, comfortable rooms made this a great stay in Manistique. We had a really good experience and would definitely come back in the future.

A power outage at another hotel sent me here instead, and I'm glad it did. Shelley was incredibly helpful. She made us a pizza and baked cookies for the guests coming in. The room was clean and comfortable, and I thought the place was nice.

The room stayed warm enough for me to sleep comfortably without a blanket, even though it was 4 degrees outside. For what I needed and paid, it was definitely worth it, even booked through booking.com. One idea if they remodel and can add to the rooms: change the bathroom doors or make the bathroom a little bigger, since the door is too close to the toilet.

Shelley is the very best, and the woman who checked me in was amazing, a real ray of sunshine. The room was clean, and for the price this is a decent hotel. The continental breakfast was great, with biscuits and gravy too.
