10/10 would not stay. The room was nasty, with a weed and trash smell in both it and the halls. There were clumps of hair in the bed and all over the floor, and dried food on the floor too. Loud music was playing, and the desk clerk didn’t get them to turn it down or offer us any kind of solution or reimbursement. I contacted Hotel Manager Andy Patel and the Wyndham hotel group, but haven’t heard from either. Horrible customer service!

It’s a two-star motel, but it was extremely clean, with no smoking or pets allowed, which was wonderful. There were lots of cameras, and it felt nice and safe. The bathroom was extremely small. When you opened the door, it just cleared the toilet, like a cramped public restroom stall. I called the night before to confirm they had my reservation. When we arrived, the pool and hot tub were shut down. The desk worker said he could refund me and I could go somewhere else if I wanted. I kept the reservation, but it would’ve been nice to know about the closures when I called to check.

The remodel is nicely done, and the pool and hot tub were well kept, but I found it hard to enjoy them after my first-day interaction. The woman I assume was the owner was unnecessarily rude, and I was shaking afterward. She didn’t recognize my name and told me to check next door because I didn’t have a room there. She could have looked it up, asked if it was under another name, or offered me a room. I asked to cancel because of how aggressive she was, and she was rude about that too. Then she insisted I needed the physical card used for booking. My mother had booked it and was five hours away. After a lot of arguing, we agreed to use another card for the deposit. There was zero hospitality, and I felt like I was walking on eggshells the whole stay. There are signs around the hotel and the same rules on a very large lobby TV, with punishments listed for breaking them. The no-visitors rule, for example, is very in your face. The cleaning staff hung up used towels two days in a row. One was dirty when I took it down right away, with makeup smeared on it from a previous guest. After reading reviews, I saw the hotel’s hasty replies attacking previous short-term tenants who spoke up about how they do business. That’s why I used a different email. The automatic door is broken, so travel light. Breakfast doesn’t have the usual eggs and sausage. The booking site said the deposit would be $100, but they actually charge $150, so plan for that.

The complimentary breakfast had plenty of options and was good. Our room was spacious, fresh, and updated, with comfortable beds. We also enjoyed the clean pool. It was a really nice stay.

Everything in our room looked brand new, and it was spotless. The renovations at Days Inn Mankato are fantastic. My family and I were really impressed during our recent stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and the manager was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the TV picture was great. I’ve attached photos to show how nice it looked. We definitely plan to stay here again whenever we’re in the Mankato area. Highly recommend!
