The lifeguards seemed attentive and professional, and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. This was a really fun family pool stay, with two waterslides for riders at least 48 inches tall. The lilypad walk always had a long line that moved slowly, so be ready for crowds. We had a great time.

For what we paid, I wouldn’t stay here again. We came the day after Christmas and knew rates would be higher, but $650.00 for two nights felt like a lot, especially with breakfast not included. The pool was great for our younger kids, and the lifeguards were amazing. We even saw them rescue two children that night. Everything else was decent, but the bathroom was disgusting. The sink backed up as soon as the water was on. Its loose drain cover lifted out, revealing thick mold and what looked like rotten ramen noodles, with a terrible smell. We had our children with us, including one with health problems who is constantly on oxygen, so the dirtiness really bothered us. The underside of the bed comforter also had what looked like Cheeto residue. For half the price, maybe I’d consider it. This was the kids’ Christmas present since we didn’t buy other presents this year, and they were happy, but we parents wouldn’t spend that money here again. Update: They apologized and asked if maintenance could look at it. We agreed, but they only tried to wash it off. The mold was thick. We left a day early because the neighbors kept screaming, waking us until 3 a.m. I spoke to the front desk twice. They checked on the room and asked them to stop, but a woman across from us nearly got into a fight with the room that was screaming. Security came up and had one person leave. Nice room, but we won’t stay again.

Karen helped us with a quick late dinner at the bar after a long day. We were exhausted and a bit delirious, but she was patient, kind, and attentive without rushing us. At breakfast the next morning, Kim was just as welcoming, upbeat, and helpful. I’m a server myself, so I notice when staff make a request feel like a bother, and Kim was the opposite. She’d only just started there, which surprised me because she seemed so confident and experienced. Karen and Kim brought a lot of care to our stay, and that made it memorable.

My kids had a blast at the water park, but the place seems badly neglected. Most of the pool lights and the lights inside the slides were out. Those slide lights used to help me feel more in control and made the ride seem less dangerous. My son had goggles and said the water looked cloudy. Some deck drains were clogged, leaving that area very slippery and dangerous to walk through. Lights around the slide deck were also out, and the ceiling lights by the little kids’ area and one pole light kept flickering on and off. Paint from the tower stairs came off on our feet and washed into the slide, leaving paint in the pool. I washed some off in the shower afterward. The hotel room used to have a coupon for free breakfast, and the food venue doesn’t seem as family-friendly as before. Spring break room prices were painful, and it looks like little money or maintenance is going back into the water park, even though it seems to be the main draw. Staff could also use training to be more knowledgeable and helpful with the guest experience. Sad state of condition, do better.
