Motel 6 Maple Shade Township, NJ - Philadelphia - Mt Laurel

I booked late on a summer weekend, and the rate was pretty good compared with other options. The room was relatively clean, and I was glad to have a small fridge with a separate freezer and a microwave, since those aren’t always standard at Motel 6. The AC worked well and wasn’t too loud. There are two three-story buildings with exterior room entrances. The elevator in the main building’s breezeway didn’t seem to work. The shower pressure was weak, and road noise in my room was awful. The door wasn’t straight, leaving a gap at the top, so I stuffed a washcloth in it. That helped some, but trucks and other loud vehicles were still noticeable. I’ve stayed at plenty of Motel 6s over the years. This one wasn’t the worst, but it wasn’t the best either.

For what it costs, the rooms are clean and really nice. The guy at the desk was super cool, too. It’s a deal at that price.

I only give this place three stars because they could fit me in at the last minute, during an emergency, and for a great price. The front desk service was great, and the man who checked me in was polite and got me a room quickly. But I could tell the sheets hadn’t been changed. When I lifted the cover, there were crumbs and hair from the previous guest, and the same was true of the other bed. It looked like housekeeping had just made the beds without putting on clean sheets. If you need an affordable place, this is one.

The employees are friendly and accommodating, and the place is comfortable for the price. Watch carefully as you drive into the parking lot, because if you’re going too fast, you might miss the entrance.
