Beach House Suites by the Don CeSar

That balcony is huge, with seating where you can enjoy the beachfront view or watch the Gulf sunset. The rooms have lots of space, too, with a separate bedroom, living room, and kitchenette. The hotel and its facilities, including the pool, hot tub, kid zone, and rooms, are very clean. The rest of the staff have been great, especially the front desk team and the lady bartender. They’ve treated me and my family like their own. I’d recommend this place every time. My one complaint is housekeeping. I’ve been here for a couple of months for work, and sometimes they don’t come by at all. I went almost two weeks without anyone entering my room, even though I like to change the bedding weekly. When they do come, the service is very basic, and they’ll throw away things they decide are trash. They also speak no English, so it’s hard to communicate.

The view was the best part for me. I’d get up early, step onto the balcony, and just want to spend the whole day looking out at it. The beach is very clean and well maintained, with chairs, umbrellas, and towels available. The person looking after them was super friendly and made sure we had a nice spot. Our one-bedroom suite was spacious, clean, and in good working order. It had two full bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen with a stove, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and utensils, plus a mini fridge and freezer that cooled very well. The living room had an L-shaped sectional that can be made into a bed by removing the cushions. I slept there one night so I could hear the ocean, and it was the best sleep I’d had in a while. The bedroom was roomy and comfortable, with a king bed, a large closet, and a safe. There was also a washer and dryer, an ironing board, and an iron. We booked this for my mini birthday vacation and were greeted by friendly staff. Check-in was quick, and we always found a parking space when we returned. There’s a bar, food truck, pool, and hot tub. The drinks at the bar are on the expensive side but strong. The pool is clean and heated, which was helpful in November when the temperature outside was in the low 70s. This place has everything I look for in a vacation stay. I haven’t found anything that needs improving, and I already know I’ll be back.

My husband and I will definitely return to Beach House Suites. I checked in on October 12 expecting to leave on October 15, but ended up extending for two more days because I had such a wonderful stay. Everyone was incredible, including Ms. Amy, Ms. Patty, Ms. Tasha, and Chris. The cleaning staff were kind and checked in every day to make sure my suite had everything it needed. Thank you all!

The room was nice, but the bathroom was pretty grubby. There was someone else’s hair in several places in the shower, and the drawer handles felt icky. The remote was missing its back, and the phone only worked on speaker when I needed to call room service. Food from the Don was disappointing, so I wouldn’t spend money on it. There are better places to eat around here. I figured I’d give it a try since we were staying there, but the grouper tacos were mostly lettuce, with maybe 20% fish.
