This little eight-room mom-and-pop motel had the basics we wanted, plus lovely views and clean, quaint rooms. The owners were nice, and Precious the cat might come say hello in the office. Breakfast was very simple, but better than nothing. Look for the American flag in distress and Trump flag!

The owner is what makes Cave Mountain Motel special. He was funny, kind, and so personable that it felt like staying with family. The motel itself is simple, with a lovely mountain view, and the basic room and small shower were both clean. Everything felt well worth the price. I'd skip the expensive, noisy big hotels and give the Cave a try.

For the price, it's hard to find better. I called that night and got a room without any trouble. It's not fancy, but it has what you need, comfortable beds, a refreshing homey feel, and a beautiful setting. The breakfast is free, so I don't think it's fair to hurt a small family motel's rating over it being basic. I'll recommend the place to friends and family, and will likely come back next time I'm in the area.
