White Sands Inn

The sunrise here is stunning, and the view is gorgeous. The location is good, about a 15 minute drive from sombrero Beach, my favorite. The staff were friendly, and even the dog was friendly. Everything else was perfect, but I’m taking 2 stars off because we had cockroaches in our room. Most rooms have a kitchen, but ours only had a microwave and fridge, which actually explains the cockroach situation.

This mom and pop hotel is just right for a relaxed break. You’re only feet from the ocean, with the pool and hammocks right beside it, plus lots of beautiful palms around the property. The rooms are bright, colorful, and always clean, and there are plenty of fresh towels. The staff are friendly and helpful too. We come whenever we can sneak away for a mini vacation, since it’s not far from home for us. It feels like a little slice of paradise, and we’re looking forward to another visit soon.

For our family, this place is perfect: simple, quiet, well priced, and close to all the fishing bridges. We live in Miami and enjoy coming here for a weekend away. It isn’t a 5 star hotel, so you might be disappointed if you’re looking for a tourist attraction, but it fits our needs in every way. We’ll most likely keep staying here.

When I visit Marathon, I stay here every time. Walking out of the room in the morning feels like a little slice of paradise. At night I can lie on my lounge chair under the full sky of stars, and it’s so quiet I can hear a pin drop. It feels like peaceful heaven in that moment. The girls and Tom who work here are some of the nicest, most accommodating people I’ve been around in a long time. They make me feel like we’ve been friends forever. The rooms are comfortable and clean, decorated like a small beach house. Another thing I appreciate is how quiet and respectful the other guests are, whether the place is full or only has a few people. Peace and relaxation are exactly why I come.
