Magnuson Hotel Marietta

We had to leave by 7am after arriving around 2am with our 4-month-old. Everywhere else nearby was booked, so we ended up here. The room wasn’t up to our standards, but at that hour we didn’t feel we had much choice. It was cold because of the gap under the door, and the door wouldn’t close all the way, so we couldn’t sleep. When we left, we saw that all of us had bites all over our bodies. I’m really upset. I’ve been calling and leaving messages, but the hotel hasn’t replied. I’m updating with photos every day and showing the products we’re using. They charged more than the price listed online, though I accepted that at the time since it was 2am.

I used to come here because it’s affordable and well located, but the problems add up. The place is noisy, with people walking through and coming and going all night. There are roaches, and during my last stay I spent the night itching because it seemed the sheets hadn’t been changed. I won’t return. I’d rather book an Airbnb or spend more on a nicer hotel.

For what it costs, it’s about what you’d expect. Fine for a short trip, and the staff were good. My stays have been easygoing.

The area is convenient, with plenty of amenities close by, but the hotel itself needs work. The building feels poorly maintained, and I saw roaches. The outlets, doors, and walls are old and dirty.
