Menominee River Extended Stay Hotel

The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. My company always puts me up here, and it's a pleasure every time.

I was here for a week on a work trip and absolutely loved the place. The rooms were clean, spacious, and nice, with a handy kitchenette. The location is good, with the lake right there, and there's free laundry and access to the things you need during your stay. Communication with the owner was great. I'll definitely be back. The hallway is nicely lit, and the view from our room looks out on woods. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We didn't need to interact with staff because my husband's employer arranged the stay.

Quiet hours start at 9, and they seem to enforce them pretty well. This is a nice little motel in a fairly quiet area, with a boat launch within walking distance if you want to fish or dip your feet in the water. There's a nice restaurant across the street, probably good for you but bad for me (see my review), and a couple of picnic tables for sitting outside with a book. Some larger rooms have a stove and kitchen sink for cooking. The hard floors send even the smallest hallway sound echoing into the room. The ice machine makes a loud noise almost every hour, and the big gap under the door between rooms meant I could hear my neighbor snoring as if he were in my room. Creepy. I also got walked in on three times over the two weeks I've been here. They clean on Mondays and Tuesdays, plus random other days whenever the manager feels like it, and staff don't seem to keep track of who's in which room or for how long. My very recognizable car is always in the same place, but that didn't stop them. I keep the swing-bar lock closed now, and strongly suggest you do too. A do not disturb sign would be nice. I considered making one, but it's easier to just keep the door locked. The blankets and covers are pretty thin. I had to buy another blanket because my roommate couldn't sleep if the room was above 60 degrees. I'm not taking off a star, since I think that was an unusual situation, but hopefully they put out thicker or extra blankets in colder months. I can't comment on the price, since Veriha Trucking paid for my stay. The first time I came here a couple of months ago, nobody could get into their rooms because they gave us all the wrong passcodes. It was awful arriving in the middle of the night and having nowhere to sleep. The passcodes worked fine on this second visit. Also, there's only about a 50% chance the shower warms up in less than five minutes. Weird.
