Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. We appreciated the complimentary fountain soda for those of us who don’t drink coffee. It got crowded, but there was plenty of seating. We stayed four nights, and our room was spacious and very clean. The common areas were well maintained, and there are lots of restaurants and stores nearby. We often stay at Embassy Suites and look forward to the evening reception. Just a heads-up, Massachusetts law means they don’t offer complimentary cocktails. That isn’t the hotel’s fault, though I do think they could offer lower-priced drinks at the bar to make up for it. We’re in the area often and will stay again.

I’ve been staying here for three years and the experience has been consistently good. The hotel is easy to reach from the highways and close to nearby attractions, and the food options include free breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are always exceptionally clean, and housekeeping does a great job when I stay more than one night. Highly recommend!

I’m staying here for nine days and already wish I could leave. I paid $2,000 for the room and expected a better experience. When I arrived, it was still dirty: the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed, and there was a gross spot between the kitchen chairs that needed carpet cleaner. I asked the desk to send someone, but nobody came. Now I’m worried I’ll lose my deposit. The soap dispenser and laundry room are also very dirty. They hadn’t even cleared lint from the dryer, so I’ll need to bring napkins every time I use it. I asked the desk about a snack table in front of the bar, thinking guests could take food as they do at breakfast. The woman looked at me like I was crazy and had no idea what I meant. I won’t ask her questions again. I’m dreading the next few days, and once this stay is over, I won’t come back.

We loved staying here for Christmas. We rented three rooms, and one had a full kitchen and faux fireplace. The kids went skiing during the day, and we parents were able to cook a full Christmas meal. The pool was very nice, too. A couple of things to know: we often stay at Embassy Suites on long work trips, but this property doesn’t offer free alcohol during happy hour and doesn’t allow outside food in the common areas. That wasn’t written anywhere. The Saint Louis location clearly warned us about outside food, while the Atlanta one allowed it. Being kicked out was a bummer, though it didn’t ruin the stay. They should put up signs so guests can plan. The kitchen is fully equipped, but it’ll need updating soon. The fridge is loud and ready to retire.
