Fairfield Inn & Suites Boston Marlborough/Apex Center

We’ve stayed here twice now as a group, and we’re looking forward to coming back next year for another group business stay. The hotel is clean, and breakfast is better than at most places. The morning staff kept everything stocked, and everyone we met was very nice and professional. Manager Cheryl helped us check in. She was wonderful, professional, and helpful.

I was here for a training class, so I can’t rate the rooms. The location and service were great. The fire alarm started going off just as I walked in, but the staff handled it well and the fire department arrived very quickly. Keep up the great work, staff!

I’ve stayed in many hotels every year as a platinum elite bonvoy member, and this last stay was disappointing. Early in the morning, the fire alarm went off. That’s happened to me many times and is nobody’s fault, but it stopped while I was getting ready to evacuate, so I went back to bed. Fifteen minutes later it went off again. I got ready to leave, it stopped, and I returned to bed. This kept happening for the next hour until I finally checked out and left. A fire alarm is important for safety, but management should have stopped it from repeating for more than an hour. I’m unhappy that I wasted a night, an upgrade, and points on this stay.

We were glad to find clean rooms and awesome staff at Fairfield Suites Boston/Marlborough, which was nearly empty when we arrived. Since our room was vacant, they let us in before 6 AM on arrival day, even though the booking was for that evening. We were exhausted from overnight travel, so we unpacked, showered, and fell asleep. Then a sports team arrived, and the hotel filled with drunk parents and young teens openly drinking and smoking weed in front of them. They partied in the parking lot and made a lot of noise at the pool. We regretted choosing this hotel. I was upset by the time I reported the problem to the front desk for the third time, especially after seeing security drive right past the parking lot party. The guards still planned to do nothing. I told the desk I had pictures. While we sat in the car looking for other hotels, I realized this hotel had filled up while I was asleep, with no rooms available the next day or the night after. Prices elsewhere had shot above $250 a night. It was made clear that this situation is common. There was no apology for the noise or the trouble. We’ll have to repack everything, lose time and money, and get back in the car tomorrow to find somewhere else. One star for letting us in early and keeping the room clean. We won’t be back.
