Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Marlborough

The rooms were quiet, with comfortable beds and pillows and plenty of outlets for all my electronics. They were also very spacious for a hotel, and the full kitchen meant I could cook instead of relying on fast food. Target is about a mile up the road for stocking the pantry. Wifi was stable enough to stream, and the staff were extremely helpful. I stayed for a week on a business trip, though these rooms would suit shorter visits too. I didn't eat breakfast, but the usual buffet was available with eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, OJ, and milk. The hotel was undergoing renovations.

We paid $189/night for a hockey tournament stay and didn't know the hotel was under construction, with no pool and ladders, papers, and building materials lying around. We might have overlooked that, but the room was disgusting. The lower cabinets were broken and their hinges were coming off. Anyone sleeping on the pullout couch would probably need a tetanus shot, and what we thought was blood was on the bathroom door. After about five minutes we went to the front desk to cancel and request a refund. Larissa was accommodating and gave it without question, so five stars to her. We'll see whether the refund actually goes through.

The rooms are great, and I love having a full kitchen. The handicapped bathroom was okay, though it needs a little TLC. The pool was the letdown. We're here for a hockey tournament, and at the price we paid I feel we should have been told to come back at 1 because baby swim classes were using it. A pool is one of the main reasons hockey parents choose a hotel like this, and I was very disappointed that the kids couldn't enjoy it.

From arrival on, the staff were warm, courteous, and attentive. Ali and the front desk team made a real effort to keep us comfortable, handled requests quickly, and the rooms were thoroughly cleaned. Common areas were well maintained, too. The Residence Inn Boston Marlborough makes it easy to feel at home, with in-room kitchens, laundry, and grocery services. Free Wi-Fi, EV-charging stations, well-equipped kitchenettes, and a hot, hearty complimentary breakfast add real value. For business or leisure, the service feels thoughtful and reliable.
