For more than $200, I was disappointed with our one-night stay. I booked a suite with a pullout couch for the kids, but its pillows and the couch itself were heavily stained. The pullout mattress was broken, uneven, and so worn we couldn't use it. Luckily we'd brought an air mattress. I told the attendant the couch was broken while asking for extra sheets and blankets. She apologized for the inconvenience, but that was about all the response we got. The sheets she gave us were clean, though hairs were wrapped up in them, and the blankets on the beds had several small stains. There was a bug in the bathroom, which frightened the kids. The shower water smelled strange, and the hotel seemed worn and in need of a deep clean and update. When I mentioned the couch again at checkout, I was told the couches were supposed to be replaced soon. That didn't help us during our stay. Given the price, this wasn't worth it. If we hadn't arrived so late, I probably would have gone elsewhere. I was surprised after reading all the positive reviews, but I wouldn't stay here again. I rarely complain, but I didn't expect a hotel in this condition at that price.

I reserved a room early on nov 7 2025, well before the 3pm check-in, because the hotel advertised a working indoor pool. Nobody called to tell me the pool was broken or ask whether I wanted to keep the reservation. They waited until I'd arrived in town and checked in to mention it. That was the only reason I booked this hotel. Later that night, when my daughter was about to shower, we found water pooled in the bathtub, conditioner spilled around, and no shower curtain. I had to buy cleaning supplies and ask them for a curtain. The bathroom door was rusty, and the carpet and furniture were torn. I asked for a partial refund that day, but was told the manager wasn't there. Customer service said the hotel would contact me and resolve it. I still haven't heard from anyone at the property. If they don't resolve this, I'll file a complaint with the BBB.

It was a quiet, safe, clean stay in a great location, though there wasn't anything special about it. The shower water got warm, but never hot.

Kristy and the staff made our stay a good one. The front desk was patient and knew their stuff, even with how busy the weekend was. Our TV kept cutting out, though, so I'd bring a Roku next time 😂. We’ll definitely stay again.

Everyone was so friendly, and I loved Ruidoso ❤️. The place is right in town, so you can walk everywhere. I'd stay here again.
