I spend about 30-40 days a year in hotel rooms for work and fun, and I’ve stayed all over America and overseas. These were the biggest, most comfortable rooms I’ve ever had, and the beds were fantastic. I especially loved the large windows. The staff went above and beyond, with a level of service I don’t think I got at the Ritz Carlton or other well-known properties. I honestly think the owners should build a chain of these places. You’d quickly become popular, and I’d stay at your hotels every time.

After a hike or mountain bike ride, it was lovely to come back to cold drinks and a snack waiting in the afternoon. Breakfast was just as inviting, with fresh quiche, juice, hot coffee or tea, and nice pastries. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the pillows plush. They’d even provided mugs and a wine glass, and the shower and towels were top quality. Check-in was smooth and at our own pace, with the access code sent ahead, and the host was only a text away if we needed anything. The place feels quiet and quaint, both cozy and upscale, with thoughtful details throughout. It really is a gem. Treat yourself, you’ll be happy you did.

Explore : Marquette Historic District hotel made my wife’s birthday stay easy and special. They were extremely accommodating, and we found wine and other snacks waiting in the room when we arrived. The location is hard to beat if you want to walk to everything downtown Marquette has to offer. We had an amazing time, and it’s definitely worth considering for your next trip to Marquette.

We booked a room for six, with two queens and a pull-out couch, and everything was incredibly comfortable. There was loads of space, beautiful high ceilings, blackout curtains, and a huge bathroom with enough counter space for a few of us to get ready together. The shower was amazing. I loved the peaceful evening lighting and luxurious robes, which made the room feel like a spa. The robes were one of my favorite touches. We were there for a friend’s birthday and they left a bottle of wine, dessert, and a sweet note, all complimentary. From the concierge’s booking details to contactless check-in, everything was easy. We got a code for the building and another for the room, so there was no key to carry, and help was available by text whenever we had questions. Free classic cocktails were offered from 5-7pm, so we took ours back for a getting-ready drink before dinner at Slabz Bar & Grill. In the morning we enjoyed complimentary mimosas before packing up. Breakfast, provided by Slabz Bar & Grill, had baked goods and other quick bites. We were also obsessed with the mini jars of honey and jam, the orange juice jars, and the branded mugs and wine glasses. The decor, including the map on the hallway wall, paid tribute to Marquette, while the beautiful space still felt like somewhere completely new. It made a perfect staycation. I’d love to return in summer and use the upper patio overlooking Lake Superior. I’m already planning an off-season getaway for next year. It was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had.
