The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff friendly. Hot water in the shower only got warm, though. It's affordable, but don't expect much from the so-called continental breakfast: waffles, bagels, cereal, milk, juice, and coffee. That's all.

I booked three months ahead for an October trip to see Taylor Swift, knowing rooms would get harder to find closer to the date. Now they've emailed to cancel without explaining why or offering another option. I tried calling, but the hotel's phone doesn't work. Judging by the reviews, this isn't a new problem. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Breakfast was decent, though nothing special, and the rooms were fairly clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful, and the location put most New Orleans attractions within driving distance. For the price, it was an amazing deal. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a budget stay near New Orleans.

We kept asking for a clean room and kept getting moved. Room 229 still had gum stuck in the carpet, a dirty toilet, hair in the shower, and used tissue. The clerk inspected it with me. He offered a refund so we could find another hotel, but there were no other rooms available nearby. We just wanted the clean room we'd paid for. The next room, 111, had no iron and more exposed tissue. We were leaving in the morning, so I was tired of switching and stayed. After five room changes, they could at least have refunded one night in this hellhole. I'll never stay here again, and wouldn't recommend it if you value your money. We arrived May 19, 2017, for two nights booked online. The lobby looked clean and smelled nice, and the desk clerk was pleasant. Room 209 looked fine at first, until I found cookies and dipping tobacco in a nightstand drawer. Then my girlfriend spotted a roach in the bathroom. The clerk apologized and moved us the next day to room 226, but the toilet was filthy, tissue was left exposed, and there was mildew in the shower corners. I reported that room too. In room 227, the toilet was dirty again, there was hair in the shower, and more exposed tissue. We contacted the clerk once more and were moved to 229.
