La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Greensboro Arpt High Point

My work trip turned into a costly mess. After the bites from my second room, I had to take time off to get medical advice, and I ruined my trip clothes by washing everything on high heat. I'm still trying to get bugs out of my vehicle. Wyndham and the hotel have both apologized, but that's all I've received so far. The first room had ants everywhere, plus a remote that felt so dirty I reconsidered using the TV. In the second room, I was bitten badly by bed bugs. Rooms 206 and 212 are the ones to watch out for. This stay has unfortunately followed me home.

This was my second stay at La Quinta by Wyndham Greensboro Airport High Point, from October 10-12, 2025, and I'll make it my last. The first night was fine, but the next morning I spotted a roach on the floor by the microwave. I went to the desk calmly and asked for the room to be cleaned thoroughly. The attendant said she'd arrange it. Hours later, one bed had been made and the trash taken out, but the roach was still in exactly the same place. When I reported that, she chuckled and offered to pick it up herself. That was completely unacceptable. I asked for another room and eventually got a new key, but the lack of urgency, cleanliness, and professionalism was deeply disappointing. Finding a roach is bad enough; having your concern brushed off makes it worse. I have photos and video of what happened, and I won't stay here again.

We were paying over $200 US a night for a very basic room with a dirty brown floor, nicked walls, dust, and awful flat pillows. We asked for daily cleaning and fresh towels, and the front desk agreed both verbally and by text. When we returned, nothing had been done: no made bed, towels, toilet paper, or Kleenex. Terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend it, and I won't stay at this chain again.

The room was comfortable and nice, and I always enjoy staying at LaQuinta. Breakfast let me down, though. The eggs were burnt and a bit cold.
