Shame on you, Marshall Lodge. A young family, a man, his girlfriend, and their one-month-old baby, had their home, a trailer, destroyed in Slater a couple of days ago, and they’re charging $1000 for the week in their FENTYNAL PALACE!!!!!!! Friggen gross! Wow, way to step up for the community. I hear the other motels are full with linemen and volunteers.

I woke up to bedbugs on my pillow. They said they’d have an exterminator come in. I threw away everything I had so I wouldn’t bring them home, and got no discount.

It was 29 degrees outside when we got there, and the heat hadn’t been turned on in the room. After more than an hour inside, it still wasn’t anywhere near comfortable. I was cold even with my coat and clothes on. We asked about a refund and were told there are no refunds. This place is an absolute dump, and I won’t stay here again.

I took my family straight back to the truck as soon as we saw how dirty the room was. The toilet didn’t work, door frames and walls were nearly black from never being wiped down, and my six-year-old found bugs on the bed. We’d been stranded in Marshall during a road trip with children and needed somewhere right away. Less than ten minutes after he charged me, I went to the desk and asked for a refund. The man immediately got confrontational and raised his voice at me. I’m a petite woman, and it was very uncomfortable. I tried to explain that it wasn’t a good fit for my family, but he wanted to see the bugs, which my mom had already swiped off the bed, and said he took pride in how clean the rooms were. He yelled at me and my 60-year-old mother. I didn’t argue, just walked away after trying to explain how uncomfortable we felt. It was a truly disgusting place and the worst situation I’ve been in. I’d never recommend it. Disgusting room and horrible management.
