After three stays, I’m done with this hotel. The rooms are outdated and always seem musty and dusty, and I’ve had to change rooms for AC trouble every time. On my most recent visit, after a 6-7 hour drive, the first room’s AC wouldn’t turn on. They moved me, but the replacement unit was extremely loud and sounded like it had a faulty blower. I sent the front desk a video, and they apologized and said maintenance would check it the next day, after I’d checked out. That doesn’t help when you’re trying to rest and recharge. With the old rooms, repeated AC problems, and no immediate fix, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

All night we heard doors slamming and people stomping around upstairs. At midnight we called the front desk to ask them to quiet the people above us, but the noise was intolerable and whoever answered seemed annoyed. The shower and tub wouldn’t drain, leaving us standing in three inches of water, and they still hadn’t drained by morning, so we skipped showers and left. Bathroom fixtures were coming off the wall, there was someone else’s body hair on the sheets, and stains on the ceiling. The location just off the highway is handy for a quick stop, but that’s about the only upside.

The hotel is really loud, especially when doors slam late at night or in the morning. With kids’ sports teams or people partying, you hear it all night. Please fix the doors and add a little more soundproofing there. Otherwise, there’s a lot I like: the furnishings are nice, the bed and couch are comfortable, the gym is excellent and roomy enough for floor exercises, with a Peloton bike and free weights. The pool is heated, and there’s coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and tea available all day and night. Breakfast is typical. Every front desk person I dealt with was professional and attentive. My favorite part is the well-stocked snack store, with frozen meals, ice cream, snacks, nuts, chips, sweets, savory items, frozen pasta, different waters including sparkling, toiletries, and some local specialties.

The hotel and rooms were clean and nice, but the mattress was really firm. The wall thermostat also had a big lag before the HVAC responded, so it felt like the system was broken.

We were stopping on the way to Wisconsin when loud pounding across the hall woke us around 4:15 am. Two women were trying to get in, and this went on off and on for over 30 minutes. I called the front desk twice and got no answer. After they finally opened the door, there was loud arguing, and it wasn’t quiet until sometime after 5 am. At checkout I said I’d nearly called the police. The desk staff said the police had been there and apologized for the noise, but the police never came to the fourth floor where it happened. I should’ve asked for a refund or discount, but I was groggy and needed to get on the road.
