Jordan and Jayson made the stay for me. They were polite and professional. The immediate neighborhood is a little rough, but as a business traveler I had no trouble walking around or using a PIN to get into the lobby and reach my room. There are trendy coffee shops and restaurants just a few blocks away, like in many DC neighborhoods. My apartment was spotless and spacious, with all the amenities, a comfortable feel, a nice basement gym with a Peloton, and reliable WiFi. There was one gum wrapper in a corner on the floor, that was it. Street parking only, but I thought it was great value and would stay again.

For the price, I’d stay here again next time I’m in DC. The room was large and very clean, though a few surfaces could have been wiped down better before I checked in. I’d read some reviews beforehand and didn’t find all of them accurate. The immediate area isn’t the best, but it’s DC. I wasn’t approached or bothered while walking around, and felt relatively safe.

The one-bedroom apartment was well equipped, though some of the furniture and carpet looked worn. The cleaning service deserves top marks, and most of the staff I dealt with were fine. At check-in, though, the woman at the desk seemed sullen and said their AI chatbot couldn’t take questions, even though it had offered to. The facility itself was OK. Be aware that people who seemed mentally ill or under the influence were on the sidewalks and sometimes wandering in the street out front, at all hours.

The studio apartments are generally nice and clean, with a full mini-kitchen, washer and dryer, a nice tub, and working AC. But the area is horrible, dirty, and unsafe. There was human feces on the sidewalk, and people who seemed drug addled approached me several times and got angry after I bought them a soda they asked for. There’s no restaurant, convenience store, or even lobby, just a tiny table and two run-down chairs in the room if you want to sit with other guests. To find anything at all, you have to go out onto the street. Service during the stay was poor too. You get two towels until you beg for more. I asked to have the room serviced after four days and was told they could only do it after seven. The coffee in both the room and at the front desk was decaf only.

The rooms were good, the hotel was clean and nice, and I was really pleased with the facility. The bed was comfortable, and there are a couple of eateries within walking distance and two small convenience stores nearby. The neighborhood isn’t the best, with people under the influence on the block who may ask for money, but otherwise it was fine. There’s no on-site parking, so getting luggage to the hotel takes some figuring out. The closest lot is about two blocks away and costs around $10 a day.
