Holiday Inn Express Marshfield by IHG

The room had a musty smell, though turning on the air helped. I also had to call for help figuring out the TV remote. It might be better to provide different remotes or instructions, since I worry older guests in particular may have trouble using them. Aside from those things, everything was great, and the afternoon and morning front desk staff were very friendly. I’d come back.

The room was clean and quiet at night, and the breakfast had a good selection: cinnamon rolls, pancakes, eggs, sausage and biscuits, potatoes and sausage, oatmeal, muffins, toast, bagels, coffee machines with freshly ground beans, water, apple juice, orange juice, guava orange juice, apples, and bananas in the lobby. Our TV wasn’t working when we arrived late, but the woman at the front desk fixed it easily the next morning. My only complaint was the cleaning crew at 9 a.m. They were talking loudly, whistling, and yelling to other cleaners in nearby rooms, which disturbed the little kids who were still trying to sleep.

We were driving home from Texas and found this hotel convenient since it’s right off I-44. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the place was clean and well kept. Our room was clean too, with a comfortable bed. I used the exercise room and liked it, and the breakfast was decent. For a quick supper, we walked next door to KFC. Its dining room was closed, but there’s a side door for carry-out. The stay worked out really well for us, and we’d stay here again if we had the chance.

The rooms were nice, clean, and quiet, and breakfast was a generous continental spread. There were some computer problems with the room lists and keys, but the manager was on top of it and got everything sorted out.
