Quality Inn Tulalip - Marysville

My work booked me here for a training class. I arrived Sunday, went to class Monday, and realized after class that all $463 in cash was missing from the wallet I'd left in my room. The wallet had clearly been gone through, even though I had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. I spoke with staff Tuesday, and they said they'd look into it and get back to me. I checked in every day until I left Friday, but each time I was told the manager wasn't there or wasn't available. It felt like they were waiting for me to leave so they could act like nothing happened and hope I'd go away. I contacted the corporate office through its website, but only got an email saying I should have dealt with the hotel staff. I don't know what else to do to get my money back. I've never felt so dismissed, violated, and let down by a hotel company. My company sends 1 - 7 people here every other week, often for 3 - 5 days at a time. I'll make sure we don't spend another dime here, and I hope you find a way to make this right.

I've stayed here numerous times, but this visit was ridiculous. There were ants in the room, including the bed, nightstand, table, and chairs. The lighting was so poor that we could barely see them. I woke up itchy and noticed an ant on my shirt, though I didn't think much of it until checkout. The baseboards were just stapled to the wall, making it easy for bugs to get in, even in winter. Someone with a child in the room above us had them running around all night and morning, and there was a cardboard walkway before you get to your room. I asked for half my money back, but they said I hadn't gone to the front desk. We didn't realize we were sleeping and sitting on ants until we left. They should have refunded me fully and comped the stay. Also, the person at the front desk was super sick and shouldn't have been working. I'm sure the health department would have issues with this place. Good luck to whoever goes.

I wouldn't stay here again. The room was in terrible condition: musty throughout, dirty walls, visible mold or mildew in the bathroom, holes in the sheets, stained bedding, a damaged lampshade, and exposed wiring. Patchwork around the door latch also made the room feel unsafe. After I filled out the Choice Hotels survey, management sent only a generic message saying they'd use my feedback to improve. There was no accountability or effort to make things right. This isn't an acceptable room for paying guests.

I checked out early because the place was so unclean. The shower drain was clogged, and after only a minute the water was up to my ankles. The towels and bedspread were badly stained, and while taking off the sheets for housekeeping, I found burn holes in the pillowtop sheet. I told Staff member Joesph why I was leaving early. He said I could have stained the laundry and made the burn hole. I asked how I could set a stain without doing laundry, and whether the smoke detector would have gone off if I'd burned something. Staff Joseph said I could have stood on a chair and taken out the batteries. My work had unknowingly booked this awful hotel and advised me to photograph the room before leaving so I could get my $150 incidental fee back. That's an insane amount for this shack. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
